Zomato Agent in Bengaluru Spotted Eating Food from Delivery Bag; Internet Split in Opinions
A Zomato delivery agent in Bengaluru was spotted consuming food from a delivery bag, sparking a divided response on the internet.
In a viral video that surfaced on social media, a Zomato delivery partner in Bengaluru was caught eating food from the delivery bag while waiting at a traffic signal. The footage raised questions about whether the food belonged to a customer or if it was his own meal, taken in the midst of his work duties.
The video captures the delivery partner reaching into the bag attached to his bike and indulging in small bites of what appears to be snacks (possibly fries) while waiting at the signal. A passerby recorded the scene and shared it on Facebook with a caption that read, "For all those who order from Zomato / Swiggy."
As the video went viral, the internet community became divided in their opinions. Some argued that the delivery agent was potentially breaching rules, while others defended him, suggesting that it might be his own food. One user emphasized the importance of ensuring the proper sealing of food packages to avoid tampering.
Another viewpoint emerged, suggesting that delivery agents should maintain a separate pouch or bag for their personal food to uphold the reliability of food delivery services.
Conversely, certain individuals urged caution and asked not to hastily judge the situation, considering that it could indeed be the delivery agent's own meal. They emphasized the hard work undertaken by such individuals and emphasized the need to be fair in our assessments.
As the video continues to circulate, Zomato is yet to issue a statement clarifying the incident. Similar incidents have previously occurred in the food delivery business, with the internet once again acting as a catalyst for discussion and debate.
