Tragic Accident in Vasna: Woman Killed as Municipal Truck Runs Over Couple
Tragedy struck around 5 am in the Vasna locality, where a couple resided on the footpath. The unfortunate incident occurred while the woman was preparing food. According to authorities, the incident involved a truck owned by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, equipped with a mounted machine for road sweeping.
An official from the M-division traffic police station reported that the truck driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the couple being run over. The woman, identified as Premilaben (39), succumbed to the accident, while her husband sustained serious injuries. The injured man was promptly transported to Sola Civil Hospital for medical attention, and the woman's body was taken to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
