Sahara Group founder Subrata Roy passed away on November 14 at the age of 75, succumbing to cardiorespiratory arrest. According to a statement from Sahara Group, Roy was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute on November 12 after his health deteriorated.
His death followed an extended battle with complications stemming from metastatic malignancy, hypertension, and diabetes.
Sahara India Pariwar expressed deep sadness in announcing the demise of their Hon'ble 'Saharasri' Subrata Roy Sahara, recognizing him as a guiding force, mentor, and source of inspiration for all within the organization.
Tributes and condolences for Roy poured in on social media from his friends and associates immediately after the announcement.
Yuvraj Singh, in particular, remembered Subrata Roy as one of the few individuals who stood by him during his battle with cancer.
