In a recent press conference held at Lucknow's Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO), the Director-General of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Manoj Yadav, IPS, shed light on the upcoming 67th All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM). The event is slated to take place at the Jagjeevan Ram RPF Academy in Lucknow from February 12th to February 16th.

During the press briefing, DG Manoj Yadav outlined the diverse range of activities planned for the 67th edition, underscoring the significance of forward-looking, scientific, intelligent, and compassionate policing.

DG/RPF shared insights into the security measures implemented by the RPF to ensure the safety and security of passengers. Key initiatives include the installation of CCTV cameras funded under the Nirbhaya scheme by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Additionally, collaborative efforts between the RPF and GRP will enhance security on special trains such as Vande Bharat, Rajdhani, and Duronto.

The "Meri Saheli" initiative, focusing on the safety of solo women travelers, was highlighted during the briefing. Female RPF personnel will provide assistance to women passengers at major stations across India.

Another notable initiative, "Nanhe Farishte," carried out in partnership with NGOs, aims to reunite children found in railway premises with their families. In 2022, 17,000 children were successfully rescued, with the number reaching 11,000 in 2023.

Addressing the pressing issue of human trafficking, Operation Aahat, conducted in collaboration with the Save the Childhood Movement, led to the rescue of 1,048 individuals in the year 2023.

Recognizing the mental health challenges faced by RPF personnel, DG/RPF outlined plans to reassess force programs, conduct training for supervisory officers, and integrate mental health assessments into medical examinations with the cooperation of the Railway Board. Professional lectures will also be organized to enhance awareness among RPF personnel.

In conclusion, DG/RPF articulated the primary objective of the 67th AIPDM, aiming to elevate policing standards in India and align with the vision of the Honorable Prime Minister's "Developed India 2047."

The press conference witnessed the presence of other RPF officers, including Munwar Khurshid, PSC/SECR, B.V. Rao, IG-cum-Deputy Director, JR RPF Academy, Dr. A.N. Jha, DIG-Training, JR RPF Academy, Sarika Mohan, DIG-Organization, RPF. Dilip Shukla, Joint Director, PIB, also played a key role in coordinating the event.
