Rahul Gandhi's a reader, not a leader Says KTR

Telangana is gearing up for a competitive three-way battle in the upcoming assembly election, featuring the incumbent Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the Congress, and the BJP.

Responding to corruption allegations made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao issued a sharp retort on Friday, asserting that Rahul Gandhi merely reads scripts prepared by local leaders.

"I don't regard him as a leader but as a mere reader. He simply recites scripts without paying heed to their content," stated Rao, the son of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

He went on to say, "Rahul Gandhi claims that corruption has surged in Telangana. Yet, his PCC chief, Revanth Reddy, is more menacing than notorious figures like Dawood Ibrahim and Charles Sobhraj. Rahul Gandhi is unaware of this because he is innocent."

Rahul Gandhi has been actively campaigning in poll-bound Telangana, conducting yatras and public rallies while consistently targeting the BRS for alleged corruption. He has also characterized the BRS as the 'B' team of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has accused them of supporting the BJP in the Lok Sabha.

Addressing a gathering during his 'Vijayabheri Yatra' in the region, Gandhi highlighted the alliance between the BRS, BJP, and AIMIM, emphasizing that a vote for the BJP or AIMIM translates to a vote for the BRS. He outlined the legal challenges he faces and pointed out that the BRS supports the BJP in the Lok Sabha on key issues like GST and the Farmers' Bill.

Gandhi also underscored the dominance of KCR's family over critical state departments, characterizing this election as a clash between "Dorala" (feudal lords) Telangana and "Prajala" (people's) Telangana.

"This election has now become a battle between 'Dorala' Telangana and 'Prajala' Telangana. KCR's family controls key departments related to land, sand, and liquor," he emphasized.

In response, KTR, a BRS working president, refuted claims that the BRS is the BJP's 'B' team, instead suggesting that the Congress is the 'C' team of the country, with 'C' standing for 'chor' (thief) team. He made this statement while addressing a gathering at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad.
