Clensta's Global Expansion: Personal Care Brand Eyes Presence in 20+ Countries

Gurgaon-based personal care brand Clensta is embarking on an ambitious global expansion strategy, aiming to extend its innovative product range to more countries worldwide. In the last six months, Clensta has aggressively pursued growth by establishing a presence in Malaysia, the US, and Saudi Arabia.

Currently in the process of setting up a robust supply chain, Clensta plans to make its IIT Delhi-backed products available in Nepal, Bangladesh, UAE, and the GCC by the end of the financial year. The brand envisions a global footprint covering over 20 countries by FY-24', with a target of generating 10% of its revenue from international sales.

Ashish Mishra, Co-Founder and CBO of Clensta, emphasized the untapped potential in the rapidly growing African market. Through a strategic partnership with Carrefour, facilitated by their distributor, Clensta aims to establish a strong presence in Africa, leveraging Carrefour's extensive reach in the region.

Having entered the African market in April with a limited presence in Uganda, Clensta has expanded its footprint by collaborating with Carrefour, a French multinational retail and wholesaling corporation. This partnership aims to make Clensta's innovative waterless personal hygiene solutions widely accessible to African consumers.

Puneet Gupta, Founder and CEO of Clensta, highlighted the brand's success both nationally and internationally, attributing the increased acceptability to the involvement of Parineeti Chopra and the leadership of Ashish Mishra. Gupta emphasized the strategic advantage of a global presence, offering lucrative opportunities such as higher gross margins and reduced competition compared to the domestic market.
