OnePlus Teases India-bound OnePlus 12R Color Options Ahead of January 23 Launch
In anticipation of its much-awaited January 23 launch, OnePlus has released a sneak peek of the color choices for the India-bound OnePlus 12R. This revelation comes shortly after the unveiling of the China-exclusive OnePlus Ace 3, emphasizing that both models share the same design with a few distinctions.
The OnePlus Ace 3, set to be sold exclusively in China, showcases a hero color named Mingsha Gold. On the other hand, the OnePlus 12R, targeted at global markets including India, is expected to offer more conventional options in Cool Blue and Iron Gray. The global launch is scheduled for January 23, 2024.
OnePlus has teased some details about the design, building excitement for the "Smooth Beyond Belief" launch event. The 12R bears a resemblance to the OnePlus 12, with subtle refinements and polish rather than a drastic overhaul. Like its predecessor, the 12R features an alert slider on the left side, enhancing antenna performance for improved online gaming experiences.
The finish of the 12R varies between the Cool Blue and Iron Gray variants, with the former boasting a glossy texture and the latter sporting a matte finish. Both are presumed to have glass construction, complemented by a matte metal frame for a sleek aesthetic.
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 3/12R will boast a 1.5K resolution X1 (Oriental) screen sourced from BOE, likely with a curved design. Leaks suggest the device will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and house a robust 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. In the photography department, the OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to feature a triple camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
Stay tuned for further updates on this highly anticipated OnePlus launch.
