Nikon India announces the commencement of the third edition of its flagship contest – Wedding Film Awards Season 3

Nikon India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, proudly announces the commencement of the third edition of its esteemed Wedding Film Awards. This annual digital contest, running from December 1st to January 15th, 2024, is designed to showcase and honor the exceptional talent of wedding cinematographers and videographers. Themed 'Candidly Yours,' the contest aims to foster creativity and visual storytelling among professionals and enthusiasts alike, with participants standing a chance to win prizes worth INR 6 lakhs.

Mr. Sajjan Kumar, Managing Director, Nikon India Private Ltd, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Nikon resonates with India's exceptional photographers and videographers. With the resounding success of two prior editions, we're thrilled to announce the third edition of the Wedding Film Awards—a celebrated contest. We look forward to recognizing and honoring the remarkable efforts of videographers who skillfully encapsulate the essence of weddings in their own perspective."

The theme 'Candidly Yours' encourages participants to showcase their creativity and storytelling prowess in wedding cinematography. The jury includes top professional wedding cinematographers and videographers such as Mr. Rig Biswas, Ms. Simran Kaur, and Mr. Akash Agarwal.

Entries are open to all Indian wedding cinematography professionals and amateur videographers, with submission details available on the Nikon India Website. Participants can upload entries shot with Nikon cameras on Instagram using #WFA3CandidlyYours, tagging Nikon India.

Exciting Prizes: Winners have the chance to win prizes worth INR 6 lakhs, along with nationwide recognition and popularity within the imaging industry. The first-place winner will receive Nikon's versatile mirrorless camera, Nikon Z f, with Nikkor Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. The second and third-place winners will be awarded Nikon Z 6II and Nikon Z 50, respectively, with accompanying lenses.

This initiative by Nikon India aims to empower videographers, enrich their portfolios, and contribute to the advancement of the art form. The winners of the Wedding Film Awards will be announced in mid-February 2024.
