Mukesh Ambani Unveils RIL's Pledge for Gujarat at Vibrant Gujarat 2024 Summit

In a groundbreaking address at the inauguration of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani outlined the conglomerate's 'five major commitments' to the state. During the ceremony in Gandhinagar, Ambani emphasized RIL's significant investment of over ₹12 lakh crore in India over the past decade, with Gujarat alone receiving more than one-third of this capital.

Ambani's five commitments are as follows:

1. Carbon Fiber Facility in Hazira:

   • RIL pledges to establish India's first carbon fiber facility in Hazira, positioning Gujarat as a trailblazer in new materials and the circular economy.

2. Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex:

   • To contribute to Gujarat's goal of meeting 50% of its energy needs through renewables by 2030, RIL is developing the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex across 5,000 acres in Jamnagar. The facility is set to be commissioned in the latter half of the year.

3. Reliance Retail Support:

   • Reliance Retail, the retail arm of RIL, commits to delivering quality products to the state and supporting local farmers.

4. 5G-Enabled AI Revolution:

   • Following the completion of what Ambani termed the 'fastest 5G rollout' globally, RIL's 5G-enabled artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives aim to generate employment opportunities in the state.

5. Investment in 2036 Olympics Bid:

   • As India gears up to bid for the 2036 Olympics, Reliance expresses its commitment to invest in Gujarat in alignment with this monumental sporting event.
