Minister A.K. Sharma's Triumph: Maun to Receive Railway Overbridge for Traffic Relief
In a significant development, the persistent efforts of the Minister of Urban Development and Energy, Mr. A.K. Sharma, have resulted in Maun receiving a valuable gift—an upcoming railway overbridge. The overbridge aims to provide much-needed relief from traffic congestion, with its construction planned at the Indira Railway Crossing on Mau-Madhuban, commonly known as Martyr Road.
The initiative gained traction when Minister Sharma penned a letter to the Central Railway Minister, Mr. Ashwini Vaishnav, urging the construction of the overbridge. Acknowledging the urgency and importance of the project, Railway Minister Vaishnav promptly granted approval. Minister Sharma expressed his gratitude towards Mr. Rail Minister for the swift response and extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the residents of Maun.
Minister Sharma's consistent efforts have played a pivotal role in driving continuous development in Maun. Over the past two years, the district has witnessed the introduction of three major rail services, connecting Mau to Delhi, Mau to Mumbai, and, more recently, the launch of a MEMU train from Dohrighat to Mau. Adding to these accomplishments, a foundation stone for an industrial complex on 85 acres of unused land in Pardaha Cotton Mill, Mau, was laid by the Honorable Chief Minister just two days ago.
In his letter to Mr. Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Minister Sharma expressed sincere thanks for emphasizing the urgent need for an overbridge to enhance rail facilities in the district. He urged that the construction be prioritized and funded by the railway authorities. Taking heed of this appeal, Mr. Rail Minister approved the project. On Saturday, senior divisional engineers from the Varanasi Rail Division initiated the survey work, marking a significant step towards the realization of the railway overbridge.
Minister Sharma conveyed his appreciation to Mr. Rail Minister for the gift of the upcoming railway overbridge in Maun. He extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the residents of Maun, signaling a positive shift in the region's infrastructure and connectivity.
