Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav's First Order : Bans Open Sale of Meat

Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav wasted no time in making his mark, as he announced a decisive move to ban the open sale of meat and eggs after convening his inaugural cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Emphasizing the importance of adhering to food safety regulations laid out by the Government of India, CM Yadav revealed plans to strictly enforce guidelines governing the sale of meat and fish in the open.

Speaking at a press conference in Bhopal, Chief Minister Yadav outlined a comprehensive campaign set to kick off from December 15 to 31. This initiative, involving collaboration between the food department, law enforcement, and local urban bodies, aims to ensure the effective implementation of the ban on the open sale of meat and fish.

In a multifaceted approach to governance, CM Yadav also addressed concerns related to noise pollution. A directive issued during the cabinet meeting restricts the use of loudspeakers at religious places to permissible decibel levels. To monitor and enforce this measure, each district will establish a flying squad dedicated to monitoring sound levels emanating from loudspeakers and DJ systems in religious establishments.

Not stopping there, the cabinet's agenda included plans to elevate at least one government college in every district to the status of a 'PM College of Excellence.' Equipped with modern amenities such as smart class seminar halls and hostels, these institutions are poised to provide a higher standard of education.

Furthermore, in a bid to enhance public safety, Chief Minister Yadav instructed the police to take stringent action against individuals committing fresh offenses while on bail. This directive aims to ensure that those who abuse the privilege of bail face consequences, including the revocation of their bail and incarceration.

The oath of office was administered to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav by Governor Mangubhai C. Patel at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on Wednesday. Deputy CMs Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, along with former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, who assumed the role of the Assembly Speaker, were also sworn in during the ceremony. The event witnessed the presence of prominent figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and other state CMs affiliated with the BJP and allied parties.
