Infosys Announces CFO Transition as Nilanjan Roy Resigns; Jayesh Sanghrajka to Assume Role from April 1, 2024

Infosys, the country's second-largest software services exporter, has revealed the appointment of Jayesh Sanghrajka as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective April 1. Sanghrajka, a seasoned professional with almost two decades of experience at Infosys, will succeed Nilanjan Roy, who has chosen to step down to pursue personal aspirations.

Roy's departure aligns with a trend of increasing top-level exits observed not only at Infosys but also among other tier-I IT services peers. Earlier, former presidents Ravi Kumar S and Mohit Joshi had also resigned from the company.

With a wealth of experience spanning 25 years, Sanghrajka has been associated with Infosys for a total of 18 years, first between 2000-07 and currently since December 2012. Serving as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer since October 2015, Sanghrajka has played a pivotal role in various finance functions, including investor relations, business finance, corporate finance, treasury, and tax. Additionally, he oversees the mergers and acquisitions portfolio for the company.

CEO and MD Salil Parekh expressed confidence in Sanghrajka's capabilities, stating, "As Deputy CFO, he has been leading multiple portfolios in the finance function for several years now, and his depth of experience and knowledge will serve us well to take the function to greater heights."

Roy will continue in his position until March 31, as stated in the company's exchange filing. Having assumed the role of CFO in 2018, Roy has been instrumental in steering Infosys, contributing to a remarkable 44% surge in the company's shares since the beginning of 2018.

Prior to joining Infosys, Roy held the position of Global Chief Financial Officer at telecom major Bharti Airtel, overseeing financial operations for India and Africa. His career also includes significant stints at Unilever, where he contributed to operations across India, Europe, and the US.
