Visakhapatnam-based startup Caare, led by Founder and CEO Chandramouli Samatham, has earned a spot among the top 20 finalists for the prestigious Underdog Tech Awards 2024. Selected from a pool of 294 applicants globally, this recognition is a remarkable achievement for Caare and puts India on the global tech map.

The Underdog Tech Awards 2024 is a novel international accolade honoring founders of outstanding tech startups situated outside major tech hubs and startup communities. Established to uplift successful technology startups overcoming challenges like limited resources, lack of funding access, and geographical constraints, this award aims to support innovators thriving against the odds.

Ekaterina Smirnova, Head of The Underdog Tech Award, highlights the importance of recognizing companies beyond traditional global hubs, fostering diversity, and creating an inclusive tech landscape.

With a substantial prize fund of $60,000, the Underdog Tech Award not only provides winners with monetary rewards but also offers invaluable assistance, including training from industry experts and PR support.

The winners of the 2024 Underdog Tech Award will be announced on April 1st, 2024, and can be followed on underdogtechaward.com.

The esteemed panel of judges includes tech entrepreneurs, academics, and industry experts, featuring prominent figures such as Fatma Nasujo (Global Head of Corporate Operations at Wasoko), Sean Kim (President and Chief Product Officer at Kajabi), Charles Eesley (Associate Professor at Stanford University), Daniel Gándara (Vice President at MercadoLibre), Damla Buyuktaskin (Senior Regional Livelihoods and Economic Inclusion Officer at UNHCR), and Arsen Tomsky (Founder and CEO of inDrive).
