Gujarat Science City recently celebrated National Mathematics Day with fervor, organizing a dynamic Maths Carnival to honor the legacy of renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on his birthday. The annual event, observed nationwide on 22nd December, saw enthusiastic participation from students representing 25 districts.

The Maths Carnival showcased a variety of activities, with students creating and exhibiting puzzles and models. Engaging events like a mathematics quiz and role-playing as mathematician characters added an interactive and educational element to the celebration. Teachers also presented innovative teaching methods, and the carnival highlighted the achievements of India's eminent mathematicians in the Hall of Fame.

The event was attended by Gujarat Science City's Executive Director and other officials, who commended the students for their enthusiasm and creativity.

In line with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and operating under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, Science City remains committed to fostering a scientific temperament in young minds. Covering over 107 hectares, Science City aims to achieve this through entertainment and experiential knowledge.

Over the past year, Science City has introduced three new attractions: the Robotics Gallery, Aquatic Gallery, and Nature Park, establishing itself as a premier science tourism destination.

The Aquatic Gallery, spanning 15,000 sq m, offers a state-of-the-art experience with a 28-meter-long tunnel and 72 exhibit tanks showcasing aquatic creatures from around the world.

The Robotics Gallery explores the future of man-machine interaction, featuring various types of robots and showcasing their history and applications in diverse fields.

The newly introduced Nature Park, spread across 25 acres, enhances Science City 2.0 with water bodies, fountains, play areas, and thematic gardens, providing a serene environment for education and relaxation.

Since its inauguration by the Honorable Prime Minister on 16th July 2021, Gujarat Science City 2.0 has received acclaim as a clean, green, and safe space for science learning and exploration. The diverse exhibits in the science galleries cater to all age groups, contributing to the popularization of scientific exploration among visitors from across India.
