Gautam Adani Unveils Ambitious ₹2 Lakh Crore Investment Plan for Gujarat at Vibrant Global Summit

In a significant announcement at the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Gautam Adani, the renowned business magnate, declared an unprecedented investment of over ₹2 lakh crore in the state of Gujarat. The Adani Group's visionary investment plan is primarily directed towards establishing a colossal green energy park, spanning 25 square kilometers in Kutch, with a staggering capacity of 30 gigawatts, visible even from space. This transformative initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities for approximately 1 lakh individuals.

Gautam Adani highlighted the Adani Group's commitment by revealing that out of the ₹55,000 crore committed at the previous summit, ₹50,000 crore has already been invested. The green energy park in Kutch represents a monumental step towards sustainable and environmentally conscious energy solutions.

"Since 2014, India has achieved an unparalleled 185% growth in GDP and a remarkable 165% growth in per capita income, overcoming geopolitical and pandemic-related challenges," stated Adani during his address at the summit, which witnessed the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other esteemed industrialists, including Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries.

Mukesh Ambani, in his address, announced Reliance Industries' ambitious plan to establish India's first world-class carbon fiber facility in Hazira. Emphasizing Reliance's deep-rooted connection with Gujarat, Ambani disclosed that out of the staggering investment of over USD 150 billion in the last decade, more than one-third has been dedicated to Gujarat.

"We are committed to aiding Gujarat in meeting 50% of its energy requirements through renewable sources by 2030," affirmed Mukesh Ambani, outlining Reliance's dedication to fostering green growth in the state.

Furthermore, Ambani shed light on the commencement of the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex, sprawled over 5,000 acres in Jamnagar. This strategic move is poised to create numerous green jobs and facilitate the production of eco-friendly products, positioning Gujarat as a global leader in sustainable exports. The complex is set to be operational in the second half of 2024.

Reliance Jio's significant achievement of the fastest 5G infrastructure rollout worldwide was also highlighted, showcasing the company's commitment to technological advancement and connectivity.
