Ferns N Petals (FNP), renowned for its exquisite bouquets and delightful cakes, has embarked on an unexpected venture—medical tourism. Their latest vertical, 'MediJourney,' aims to take patients on a voyage focused not on sentiments but on sutures and second opinions.

MediJourney will specialize in a range of services, including expert consultations, assistance with medical visas, telemedicine options, and post-treatment care. With treatments spanning over 30 segments, including cardiology, oncology, eye surgery, and IVF, FNP has collaborated with 1,500+ global doctors and surgeons and over 300 hospitals. The team, endorsed by medical embassies, ensures a standout experience for clients.

Despite the unexpected diversification, the pricing appears reasonable, especially for international tourists. For instance, the IVF package is priced around $1,200, according to rates on the website.

FNP has diversified into various sectors like wedding planning, hospitality, catering, digital content production, death care, and baby care. With the addition of MediJourney, the company targets a revenue of 700 crores in FY2024, up from 607 crores in FY2023.

The question arises—what's the connection between cakes, kitchens, and medical tourism? Vikaas Gutgutia, founder and managing director of FNP, emphasizes their forte in becoming the organized player in an unorganized market. He sees potential in India becoming a health capital, targeting countries lacking these resources with their offerings.

Initially catering to inbound tourists, FNP leverages its digital capabilities from the gifting business to market and run MediJourney's online operations. The company has established offline offices in Dubai and Bangladesh to support this new venture.
