Speaking of the deep-rooted connections between Indian and Greek civilizations spanning over two thousand years, Modi underscored the contemporary rapport grounded in shared principles of democracy, rule of law, and pluralism.
The visit aims to foster collaboration across various sectors, including trade, investment, defense, and cultural and people-to-people interactions, which have effectively bridged the gap between the two nations.
Commencing his day in Athens, the prime minister was accorded a ceremonial welcome. The itinerary features a visit to the tomb of the unknown soldier, followed by focused discussions with Mitsotakis during both restricted and delegation-level talks. The leaders are also slated to address a business assembly, and Modi will connect with the Indian diaspora, strengthening the bonds that transcend borders.
