X, the social media platform recently rebranded by Elon Musk, encountered widespread outages on a global scale. Downdetector.com, a platform that tracks outages, recorded a significant surge in reports during the outage.

Meanwhile, users on X Pro, previously known as TweetDeck, experienced loading issues, with a message indicating "Waiting for posts."

Downdetector reported that over 47,000 users in the U.S. faced access problems with both X and X Pro. Users expressed frustration, with one individual complaining about glitches, tweets not displaying, and the disappearance of bookmarked articles.

Since Elon Musk's takeover and the subsequent mass layoffs, X has encountered multiple outages. Following the rebranding and content rule changes, the platform lost over half of its advertising revenue. Musk's attempt to shift the platform's focus from advertising to paid subscriptions has not been successful, with less than 1% of users opting for the monthly premium service. This translates to an annual revenue of less than $120 million, as reported by Bloomberg.
