In a significant development aimed at fortifying the transportation infrastructure in the national capital, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has allocated increased funds in its annual budget for the 'under implementation' Phase IV of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The budget has been raised from Rs 350 crore to Rs 390 crore for the fiscal year 2023-24, encompassing various public infrastructure and transportation projects designed to rejuvenate urban mobility in the city.

The meeting approved a total outlay of Rs 8,811 crore for this fiscal year, with a significant portion (approximately 61%) allocated for capital expenditure in alignment with the Union Government's priorities.
Notably, DDA's revenue witnessed a substantial increase, reaching Rs 7,696 crore, marking a remarkable 75% rise compared to the previous year's Rs 4,392 crore in 2023-24, according to officials.
