Sudharkar Adapa Founder & CEO BIA Brands

BIA Brands, a dynamic and forward-thinking force in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, has unveiled a strategic move by acquiring TrueKind, a pioneering player in the clean, conscious, and high-performance skincare realm. This strategic acquisition serves as BIA Brands' entry into the skincare industry, enhancing its presence in the flourishing Beauty and Personal Care (BPC) segment. Renowned for its swift and well-calculated market penetration, BIA Brands is gearing up to introduce a series of groundbreaking brands inspired by ancient Egyptian beauty traditions, tailored offerings for the youth demographic, and a diverse array of cosmetics.

Founded in June 2022 by Sudhakar Adapa, BIA Brands envisions building global brands originating from India. With an entrepreneurial background spanning advertising, HR Tech, and a recent foray into media in collaboration with the ¡HOLA! Group, securing rights to Hello! Arabia and Hello! Indo-Arabia, BIA Brands is expanding its footprint into strategic Middle Eastern markets.

Sudhakar Adapa expressed his thoughts on the acquisition, stating, "The acquisition of TrueKind is a pivotal step in BIA Brands' journey to diversify our offerings and enter the Beauty and Personal Care space. It reflects our commitment to expanding our global reach and introducing innovative products. We are laying the groundwork to nurture truly global brands that emanate from India, transcending geographical boundaries and surpassing consumer expectations."

TrueKind is recognized for crafting skincare products that embody authenticity, efficacy, and environmental friendliness. Comprising vegan and cruelty-free offerings, TrueKind's bestsellers include the Phyto-Retinol & Peptide Eye Cream, a gentle melting eye cream featuring a unique blend of Bakuchi Oil, Tri Peptides, Niacinamide, and Ashwagandha.

Keshav Biyani, the Founder of TrueKind and former strategic leader at Future Group, expressed his excitement, stating, "TrueKind has always been about delivering honest, effective skincare solutions. I am confident that BIA Brands will carry this legacy forward with their commitment to quality and innovation. TrueKind is poised for great success and growth under their stewardship."

Karen Wilson Kumar, recently appointed as the CEO of the BPC segment at BIA Brands and former country manager for Louis Vuitton and Ferragamo in India, commented, "Leading the Beauty and Personal Care segment at BIA Brands is an opportunity of a lifetime. Our goal is to seamlessly blend the rich legacy of TrueKind with innovative approaches to meet the evolving needs of our consumers, ensuring quality, efficacy, and sustainability in all our products."

BIA Brands, globally recognized as a "House of Brands," is dedicated to excellence and innovation in the FMCG sector. Its portfolio includes Brew & Bliss (Exquisite Freeze-Dried Specialty Coffee), Nut-O-Licious (Roasted & Flavored Nuts), La Kah Fay (high-quality coffee beans and blends for diverse tastes), and now, TrueKind (Skincare brand). This strategic expansion into media and skincare underscores BIA Brands' vision to be a versatile and leading player in the global consumer goods industry.
