Highlighting the imperative of establishing a 'third government' beyond the realms of the Congress and the BJP, Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, emphasized the need for an alternative leadership to steer the country. On Friday, he voiced his concerns about the I.N.D.I.A opposition alliance led by the Congress, characterizing it as a 'bade chaudhriyon ka club' (a club of elites) that he perceives as dismissive of his party, AIMIM.

While addressing a press conference, Owaisi commented, "They (I.N.D.I.A) are not an alternative. The Congress governed the country for around 50 years, and the BJP has governed for around 18 years now. The nation needs a third government now," as reported by ANI.

I.N.D.I.A, comprising 26 opposition parties, has united with the objective of contesting the ruling BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April-May next year.

When questioned about the possibility of AIMIM joining the alliance, Owaisi confidently stated, "We will fight our own battle...they are a club of chaudharies (elites). We have nothing to do with them. In fact, they abuse us."

Owaisi further highlighted that prominent political figures such as former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao have also refrained from aligning with the I.N.D.I.A bloc.

The AIMIM leader has frequently faced allegations from various I.N.D.I.A members of being a 'B' team for the BJP. This involves AIMIM fielding candidates in constituencies with substantial minority populations where the BJP's chances of victory are relatively low. This strategy often results in a division of minority votes, inadvertently benefiting the BJP.

Both AIMIM and Owaisi have consistently denied these accusations, considering them baseless.

In the upcoming parliamentary elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP will pursue a third consecutive term in power at the national level.
