Amit Shah Accuses Congress of Rising Religious Conversions in Chhattisgarh

Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Congress on Friday, alleging an increase in religious conversions in Chhattisgarh under the party-led government. He claimed that the state machinery was being misused to convert underprivileged tribals. Speaking at a rally in the Pandariya assembly constituency in the upcoming state elections, Shah also accused the Congress of involvement in various scams. He promised that if the BJP comes to power, those involved in corruption will be prosecuted and sent to jail.

Shah referred to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as a "prepaid CM" of the Congress, accusing him of transforming the state treasury into the Congress party's personal ATM. He emphasized that the BJP government would not interfere in anyone's religious matters but would take stringent measures to prevent any government-backed conversion activities.

Shah also alleged that CM Baghel is engaged in appeasement politics and suggested that his time in power is limited. He warned that if Baghel returns to power, he will be controlled by the party leadership in Delhi like an ATM card, enabling them to exploit the state's resources.
