In the wake of a record-breaking week for the Adani Group on the stock market, Gautam Adani, the multi-billionaire businessman and chairman of the conglomerate, has announced an ambitious investment plan of ₹7 lakh crore across various industries. The move aims to position the Adani Group as a leading force in the country's infrastructure sector.

According to the stock exchange filings, Adani Energy Solutions outlined the plan to invest over ₹7 lakh crore in the next decade, solidifying its position as India's premier infrastructure player.
Focusing on environmental sustainability, Adani expressed his commitment to a green initiative, with an emphasis on transforming the ports business. The transformation includes electrifying cranes, transitioning internal transfer vehicles from diesel to battery power, and adding 1000 MW of renewable capacity.
Adani's dedication to environmental protection extends to the expansion of mangrove plantations, targeting an impressive 5000 hectares by FY 25. Additionally, the firm is venturing into renewable energy, contributing to the development of the "world's largest green energy park" in the challenging Rann desert of Gujarat. Covering 726 sq km and visible from space, the project aims to generate 30GW to power over 20 million homes. Adani also disclosed plans for an extensive renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem for solar and wind in Karmabhoomi Mundra, just 150 km away.
